Herrnbaumgarten – a village close to the Austrian – Czech border in the Northern Weinviertel at a safe distance from major traffic routes [herrnbaumgarten.at].

Known for their friendliness and unusual ideas [nonseum], its roughly 1,000 inhabitants love visitors and are always ready to share a drink with them. 

Around Herrnaumgarten you will find many things waiting to be explored – just like in the village itself: Stroll through the Kellergassen – picturesque lanes with wine caves lined up on either side, taste the Heuriger –new wine served al fresco and indoor in a sociable atmosphere, visit the widely acclaimed Nonseum with its Old General Store and the Weird Vinothec.

Let yourself be enchanted by the typical Weinviertel scenery around the village – its softly undulating hills, its small forest and its lovely vineyards make the area an ideal holiday spot.

The Heurigen wine drinking locales like Ranch, Schindergassenheuriger, Preissl`s Kellergwölb, Umschaid´s Presshaus, Vinetum, are alternatingly open throughout the year. From May through October the vintners keep the doors of their wine caves open – an invitation to drink one (or more) glasses of wine with the locals to end a pleasant day.
